JOB DESCRIPTION – GENERAL MANAGER

Department: Administration

Reports To: Managing Director

Remuneration: ₦200,000 and above

Role Purpose: A real estate and event management firm is seeking a highly driven and experienced General Manager to provide operational leadership, strategic direction, and commercial oversight across the business. The General Manager will ensure seamless daily operations, drive revenue-generating activities, and lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve business goals.

The role is responsible for shaping business strategy, supervising site operations, strengthening administrative systems, improving customer experience, and leading sales performance across all company units.

This individual will serve as a key decision-maker, supporting the Managing Director in executing growth initiatives, optimizing work processes, and maintaining high operational standards in both the real estate and event management arms of the company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership & Oversight

  • Ensure smooth daily operations across all business units.
  • Implement systems, processes, and policies that improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor departmental performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

2. Strategic Planning & Business Development

  • Contribute to business planning, growth strategies, and expansion initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Support senior leadership in forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.

3. Team Management & Performance Supervision

  • Supervise administrative and operational staff to ensure high productivity.
  • Set performance targets, conduct appraisals, and drive a culture of accountability.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development support.

4. Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Lead and drive sales activities to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Oversee client presentations, negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Track sales pipelines, monitor team performance, and implement sales strategies.

5. Site Operations & Client Tours

  • Oversee real estate site inspections and ensure properties are well-presented.
  • Manage client tours and ensure all site operations run professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and operational standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–5 years experience in leadership, management, or operations (real estate experience is an advantage).
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Proven strategic thinking and business planning abilities.
  • Operational and site management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong client relationship management.
  • Ability to lead teams and deliver measurable results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₦250,000.00 per month
