Responsibilities:

Leading the quantity surveying team and overseeing all aspects of cost management for construction projects.Conducting detailed cost estimates and preparing tender documents for project bids.Analyzing project specifications and drawings to identify and quantify materials, labor, and other costs.Developing and maintaining project budgets, monitoring costs, and identifying areas for cost savings or value engineering.Negotiating contracts and agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.Reviewing and approving subcontractor payment applications and invoices in accordance with contractual obligations.Providing financial reporting and analysis to project stakeholders, including progress reports, cost forecasts, and variance analysis.Managing change orders and claims and assessing their impact on project costs and schedules.Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery and achieve cost-effective solutions.Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards related to quantity surveying and cost management


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., RICS) is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and cost management for construction projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniquesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and make informed decisions.Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel.Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.Leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and proactive approach to achieving project goals.Attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
