Job Summary:


The Trade Operations Personnel will be responsible for overseeing and executing the day-to-day operational aspects of the company's trading activities.

This role involves coordinating and managing trade documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitating logistics and shipment processes, and supporting the trade operations team to achieve seamless trade execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of oil and gas trades from contract confirmation to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with traders, suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate execution of trades.
  • Monitor and manage the scheduling of shipments and deliveries.
  • Prepare, review, and manage trade-related documents, including contracts, bills of lading, letters of credit, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation.
  • Arrange transportation, storage, and handling of oil and gas products.
  • Liaise with shipping companies, storage facilities, and customs agents to coordinate the movement of goods.
  • Monitor shipment progress and address any logistical issues that arise.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with trading activities.
  • Ensure proper insurance coverage for shipments and manage claims processes if necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding trade operations.
  • Provide regular updates to traders, management, and other relevant parties on the status of trades.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the trade process.
  • Monitor and manage trade-related expenses, including freight, storage, and insurance costs.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and receipts.
  • Monitor market trends and developments that may impact trading activities.
  • Prepare and present reports on trade performance, market conditions, and operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of trade operations.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements in coordination with the Trade Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade operations, logistics, or a related field within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with international trade and familiarity with INCOTERMS.
  • Experience in Bunkering.
  • Experience in Shipping.
  • Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or trade operations are a plus
