**Job Summary:**

Lead a team of production employees to manufacture RPET products, overseeing daily operations, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Hire, train, and supervise production employees, including assemblers, packers, and equipment operators.
  • Create work schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production standards.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Allocate resources, such as equipment and personnel, to maintain production standards.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs and identify ways to reduce them.
  • Evaluate employees' performance and coach production teams to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished goods meet quality standards.
  • Monitor production output and adjust processes as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Provide training and resources to ensure production teams understand safety protocols.
  • Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement.
  • Make decisions related to production, such as staffing and scheduling decisions.
  • Prepare production reports for senior management.

**Qualification/Requirements:**

  • Educational Background:
    • Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing: A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial engineering, or related fields to understand the technical aspects of RPET manufacturing processes.
    • Management or Business Studies: Additional qualifications in management or business studies can be beneficial for understanding the economic and organizational aspects of factory management.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Experience in Manufacturing: Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment, in RPET, to understand the specific challenges and opportunities in this industry.
    • Leadership Roles: Proven experience in leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to manage teams, projects, and achieve performance targets.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of RPET Processing: Deep understanding of the recycling process, including sorting, washing, SSP, and reforming processes.
    • Process Optimization: Skills in optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency, including familiarity with OEE, 5S methodology, and SMED.
    • Quality Management: Expertise in quality control measures, understanding of statistical process control, and ability to implement CAPA Process Capability Performance Index effectively.
  • Managerial and Soft Skills:
    • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage diverse teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and improve process efficiency.
    • Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen:
    • Budget Management: Ability to manage and adhere to budgets, with skills in cost reduction and financial analysis to improve cost per unit metrics.
  • Regulatory and Environmental Knowledge:
    • Compliance: Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to the manufacturing and recycling of PET materials.
    • Sustainability: Commitment to reducing environmental impact, improving energy efficiency, and reducing carbon footprint.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Innovation Management: Ability to foster an innovative environment where new ideas and improvement initiatives are encouraged and implemented.
  • Customer and Market Orientation:
    • Customer Satisfaction: Skills in managing and enhancing customer satisfaction through quality products and timely delivery.
    • Market Awareness: Understanding of the market dynamics and customer requirements specific to the RPET industry.
