JOB DESCRIPTION
- Planning: Coordinate all aspects of events, from the initial concept to execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
- Vendor Management: Secure and manage vendors such as caterers, venues, entertainers, and equipment rentals.
- Communication: Liaise with clients to comprehend their needs and ensure their expectations are not only met but exceeded.
- Team Leadership: Supervise event staff and volunteers, assigning tasks and ensuring everyone is collaborating towards the event's success.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that emerge during the planning and execution phases, finding innovative solutions to guarantee a seamless event.
- Evaluation: Conduct post-event assessments to evaluate the triumph of the event and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years' experience: Previous involvement in event planning or management is a must, ideally in a corresponding role or sector.
- Organizational Skills: Robust organizational capabilities for coordinating multiple tasks, deadlines, and details concurrently.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are vital for engaging with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Budgeting: Understanding of budget administration and financial planning is vital for fabricating and adhering to event budgets.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: The knack to think swiftly and resolve problems as they surface.
- Flexibility: Capability to adjust to evolving circumstances and function effectively under pressure is fundamental.
- Creativity: An innovative outlook to aid in crafting distinctive and unforgettable events that captivate clients and participants.
- Team Management: Background in leading and inspiring teams to accomplish shared objectives.
- BSC/HND and Professional Qualification
