Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Purchase Officer to manage and streamline our procurement processes. This role involves ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services, maintaining vendor relationships, managing inventory, and handling data entry tasks efficiently.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Purchase goods and services in accordance with company requirements and standards.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure the best prices and service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure stock availability.
  • Manage and track purchase orders and deliveries to prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Resolve any issues related to supplier performance or order discrepancies.
  • Accurately enter purchase orders, inventory data, and vendor information into the system.
  • Maintain and update records of purchases and inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and vendor agreements.
  • Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities and inventory status.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • At least OND, HND, or BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus.
