Job Overview
Kisha Immigration seeks a detail-oriented and client-focused Client and Legal Support Officer to join our team. The
successful candidate will be crucial in supporting legal and immigration processes, ensuring compliance with
immigration regulations, and delivering exceptional client service. This role requires strong attention to detail,
effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Support and Communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing information on
immigration procedures.
• Maintain professional and empathetic communication with clients throughout the application process.
2. Immigration Documentation and Case Processing
• Assist in preparing and reviewing visa applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Verify supporting documents, including marriage certificates, financial records, and proof of relationships.
• Ensure compliance with immigration laws and update documentation as per regulatory changes.
• Draft and review submission letters and Statements of Purpose (SOPs) to support client applications.
• Prepare, proofread, and edit contracts and drafts related to immigration processes.
3. Compliance and Legal Support
• Research and stay updated on immigration policies, work permit renewals, and visa requirements.
• Assist with preparing legal documents such as affidavits, appeals, and case summaries.
• Ensure compliance with immigration laws and industry regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive client information.
4. Case Management and Follow-ups
• Monitor ongoing cases, follow up with clients, and update them on application progress.
• Identify potential challenges in client applications and provide proactive solutions.
• Oversee the smooth day-to-day operations and ensure effective communication within the team.
5. Process Improvement and Team Collaboration
• Contribute to the improvement of immigration support processes by suggesting workflow enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure
competitiveness and compliance.
• Develop strategic goals for the team and ensure that business growth objectives are met.
• Collaborate with the Sales/Marketing team to ensure effective service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Immigration Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of legal practice experience, post Bar.
• Prior experience in immigration consultancy, legal support, or client services.
• Strong knowledge of immigration laws and case management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency in using legal research databases and document management software.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively.
• Advanced-level proficiency in English and at least one Nigerian local language.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in an immigration law firm or consultancy.
• Experience or background in Finance/Financial Bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with Canadian immigration policies and procedures.
• Multilingual skills (a plus)
