Position Overview:
Jesny Farms is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Officer to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the logistics and supply chain functions of the organization, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
The Logistics Associate will manage transportation, inventory, and shipping coordination while contributing to the overall improvement of our logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics Coordination:
Assist in coordinating the movement of goods, materials, and equipment to ensure timely deliveries and optimal route planning.
Support the management of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order processing, labeling, and tracking deliveries.
2. Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and assist in managing inventory systems to track products and materials.
Coordinate regular inventory checks and audits to ensure that inventory is accurate, up to date, and properly recorded.
3. Supplier & Vendor Relations:
Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Assist in obtaining quotes, negotiating rates, and managing communication with external partners.
4. Shipping & Receiving Supplies:
Ensure proper documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, delivery notes, and invoices.
Coordinate receiving shipments, inspecting for damages, and updating inventory records accordingly.
Handle returns and exchanges as necessary.
5. Order Fulfillment & Distribution:
Ensure that all orders are fulfilled correctly and dispatched on time.
Support the efficient packaging and distribution of products, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
6. Data Entry & Reporting:
Maintain and update logistics databases, tracking shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
Generate reports on inventory status, delivery timelines, and logistics expenses for management review.
7. Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution:
Address and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or logistical inefficiencies.
Proactively identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and contribute ideas for optimization.
Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),
logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and inventory management systems.

• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities at once.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing shipments, inventories, and documentation.

• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adjusting to changing logistics needs.
