Supply Chain Specialist

Jesny Farms is a leading agricultural production company dedicated to providing high-quality produce to customers across the country.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Officer to join our team, responsible for managing the movement of goods, materials, and equipment from farms to markets.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services, improving our logistics processes along the way.
This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Logistics Coordination:
- Manage the movement of goods, materials, and equipment from farms to markets, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal route planning.
- Support the management of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order processing, labeling, and tracking deliveries.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory systems to track products and materials.
- Coordinate regular inventory checks and audits to ensure that inventory is accurate, up to date, and properly recorded.
- Sales and Operations Planning:
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Assist in obtaining quotes, negotiating rates, and managing communication with external partners.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Ensure proper documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Coordinate receiving shipments, inspecting for damages, and updating inventory records accordingly.
- Order Fulfillment and Distribution:
- Ensure that all orders are fulfilled correctly and dispatched on time.
- Support the efficient packaging and distribution of products, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Data Entry and Reporting:
- Maintain and update logistics databases, tracking shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Generate reports on inventory status, delivery timelines, and logistics expenses for management review.
- Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or logistical inefficiencies.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and contribute ideas for optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and inventory management systems.
