Job Title: Sales Director FMCG Industry

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead our team in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, exceptional team management skills, and a deep understanding of the FMCG market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth. Collaborate with the senior management team to align regional goals with overall business objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets within the region.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales executives to meet or exceed sales targets. Provide coaching and training to ensure high levels of performance, product knowledge, and customer service. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to team members.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing issues and needs in a timely manner. Oversee the development of effective sales support tools and marketing strategies to meet customer requirements.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting: Monitor and analyze regional sales performance to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for senior management. Adjust sales strategies based on data-driven insights and feedback from the field.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform sales strategies. Gather competitive intelligence and provide recommendations to stay ahead in the market. Identify new product opportunities and potential risks in the market.
  • Budget Management: Oversee regional sales budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness in all activities. Manage promotional budgets and ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, contracts, and agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, and managing large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the FMCG market, including key players, distribution channels, and consumer trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop action plans based on insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.

Estimated Salary: ₦300,000 - ₦450,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
