Financial Controller Assistant

As a key member of the Ascentech Services Ltd finance team, you will assist the Financial Controller in overseeing the administration of the company's financial accounts. This role requires a proactive approach to account management and high standards of service to external and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and detailed supplementary schedules forming part of financial statements.
  • Variance analysis and scrutiny of general ledger balances on a regular basis.
  • Reconciliation of major items in income statement and balance sheet, including sales, stock, bank, and duties & taxes.
  • Preparation of various management reports (regular and ad-hoc).
  • Handling internal and external audits.
  • Assisting other finance sub-functions as required.

The ideal candidate will possess a BSC graduate degree in accounting or a related field, ICAN certification (an added advantage), and 4-5 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in IFRS, and knowledge of MS Excel and Word are essential. Good communication skills, both written and oral, are also required.
