Trident Microfinance Bank is seeking a highly skilled Credit Officer to join our team. As a Credit Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the full range of managerial duties for the loan review, compliance, collections, and credit analysis functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Loan Review and Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies and practices of the Bank and all applicable regulatory and governmental agencies.
- Credit Analysis and Quality Assurance: Implement a system of credit analysis and quality assurance for loans made, assign ratings as needed, and conduct loan loss reserve analysis.
- File Examination and Reporting: Examine files periodically for assurance of credit and collateral documentation, regulatory compliance, and loan policy conformance; review technical exceptions and deficiencies; and maintain reports of continued outstanding exceptions to management and the board of directors.
- Loan Analysis and Recommendation: Prepare written analysis on all large loans, aggregate lending vs. indebtedness for individual borrowers, complex loans, and weak loans; identify problem loans and make recommendations for assignment to the review loan list.
- Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses: Provide quarterly analyses of the adequacy of the allowance for loan and lease losses for board discussion.
- Board Reports and Studies: Prepare periodic board reports and studies of various portions of the loan portfolio, including pass due reports and concentration of credit.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of credit analysis and risk management principles, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.
