Ascentech Services Limited is currently looking for a seasoned Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with our fleet of tippers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting inspections and testing, and developing and implementing maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles are running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with tippers, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Conduct inspections and testing to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles are running safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to share knowledge and best practices
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections
  • Ensure all work is done to a high standard and in accordance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably working on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and equipment
  • Valid driver's license
