Main Responsibilities:

As a Core Network Engineer at Brainshare Technologies and Services Nigeria Limited, you will be responsible for introducing new networking technologies and improving existing ones to add value to our services and capabilities. You will develop solutions that drive the success of our network, coordinate the activities of the Technical Support Team, and provide necessary support to Data Center Engineers.

Key Duties:
  • Develop and implement network strategies to improve performance and content delivery.
  • Coordinate network trouble shooting and fault analysis, and manage deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the Technical Support Team in interpreting and reacting to network issues and events.
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in Network Engineering.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot core equipment, including account setup and network configuration.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to key customers.
  • Report to the CTO on a regular basis.
Personal Qualities and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a focused, self-motivated Core Network Engineer with creative flair who can bring network strategies to life. They will be an engineer passionate about network strategies who thrives on delivering exciting performance and content. They will have a highly effective individual with an absolute eye for detail and a focus on improving business performance through exceptional network strategies/solutions execution, reporting, and evaluation.

Requirements:
  • 5 years and above cognate experience.
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under no or minimal supervision.
  • May be required to work weekends and in shifts.
