Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVP, Investment Banking to join our team at Sigma Consulting Group. As a key member of our investment banking team, you will be responsible for executing and originating equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and mergers and acquisition transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deal Execution: Oversee the end-to-end process of deal execution, ensuring timely and accurate completion of transactions.
  • Preparation of Financial Model and Financial Forecast: Prepare comprehensive financial models and forecasts to evaluate investment opportunities and assess risk.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Rating Advisory Services: Perform in-depth financial analysis and evaluation of companies to advise on the possibility of securing investment-grade ratings from rating agencies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with investment opportunities, including market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements impacting the investment industry, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Deal Structuring: Develop and evaluate alternative deal structures to optimize risk-return profiles and meet client objectives.
  • Valuation of Business: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence to assess the value of potential investment opportunities.
  • Transaction Origination: Identify and source potential deal opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and networking efforts.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business management, mathematics, or statistics, or any similar field.
  • Post-graduate and/or professional qualifications such as an MBA, CFA, MSc. in Finance, ACA, and ACCA.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services, out of which 4 years must have been in core investment banking.
  • Extensive experience in the execution and origination of equity capital markets, debt capital markets, mergers and acquisition transactions.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Financial modeling skills.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making ability.
  • Strong business origination and execution capabilities.
  • Good client engagement experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of structuring transactions for SEC and NGX approval.
  • Knowledge of raising capital through long-term investment vehicles, such as debts and equities.
