About the Job

Our client is Our client is one of Nigeria's leading private construction groups, with a rich history of delivering high-quality construction projects across the country. They are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to manage on-site construction activities for building projects. The successful candidates will oversee structural works, architectural finishes, and coordination with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams while ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction Oversight: Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans and timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure work complies with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Coordination:
    Collaborate with MEP teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of activities.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Address on-site challenges promptly, providing effective resolutions to maintain progress.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and detailed site records, including daily reports, material logs, and work progress documentation.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to health and safety protocols on-site to safeguard workers and resources.
  • Reporting:
    Regularly report progress and any deviations to the Project Manager or Construction Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 2 to years of experience as a Civil Engineer, preferably in building projects.
  • Relevant training certificates in construction or project management are a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in construction management tools and software.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural and architectural works.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Ability to resolve site issues efficiently under time constraints.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
