Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos for an Aviation Supply Chain Team Lead. The role involves supervising aviation supply chain operations including demand planning, procurement, and inventory management. The Team Lead will oversee communication with internal and external stakeholders, manage a team to achieve operational targets, and ensure timely delivery of supplies. The role also requires identifying process improvement opportunities and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.

  1. Lead and manage aircraft spares and component supply operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to clients.
  2. Coordinate procurement, logistics, and inventory processes across OEMs, MROs, and aviation partners.
  3. Develop and sustain vendor and OEM relationships to enhance reliability, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Monitor supply chain performance and implement strategies to reduce lead time and maintenance costs.
  5. Supervise and support the supply chain team to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in all AOG and scheduled maintenance demands.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in aviation, marine, rail transportation or FMCG supply chain, logistics/aircraft spares procurement.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulatory standards, traceability, and OEM/MRO compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage global supplier relationships, cost control, and lead-time optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain ERP, inventory management, and e-procurement systems (e.g., Zoho, Quantum, or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in Demand Planning and Operations Management to ensure the effective and timely execution of supply chain processes.
  • Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating procurement processes, inventory management, and performance optimization.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills for engaging with stakeholders, suppliers, and team members in a clear and professional manner.
  • Experience in Team Management to lead, motivate, and oversee a diverse team to achieve set goals effectively.
  • Knowledge of aviation supply chain operations and industry standards is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CSCP) are an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
