We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hotel Accountant to manage and oversee the financial operations of our hotel in Surulere Lagos. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' hands-on accounting experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with strong knowledge of hotel revenue, cost control, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations including income audit, revenue posting, and expense tracking
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitor hotel revenue streams (rooms, food & beverage, events, and other services)
  • Control costs and ensure proper budgeting and forecasting
  • Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and financial records
  • Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions
  • Ensure accurate tax computation and timely remittance
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
  • Work closely with management to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure accounting accuracy
