Role Description

This is an on-site remote role based in Lagos, for the position of a Chief Marketing & Operating Officer (CMOO). The CMOO will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and brand growth, managing daily operations, and ensuring the smooth delivery of services. Key responsibilities include identifying market opportunities, conducting competitor analysis, managing public relations, and collaborating with the team to achieve operational efficiency. This role requires strong strategic leadership to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive user acquisition strategy to drive rapid growth across Lagos, Abuja, and other target cities.
  • Lead all digital and offline marketing efforts, including influencer partnerships, PR, brand activations, community engagement, etc.
  • Create and optimise customer funnels, improve conversion rates, and grow monthly active users.
  • Own brand positioning, messaging, and identity for the Wasshh ecosystem.
  • Monitor performance using analytics tools and deliver weekly dashboards on KPIs.

Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the platform, ensuring timely pickups, processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and manage relationships with laundry partners, logistics partners, riders, and in-house staff.
  • Implement operational SOPs, quality standards, and performance tracking frameworks.
  • Ensure operational scalability as user volume increases.

Key Requirements

  • BSC in Marketing Management or a minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing, growth, or operations roles, preferably in tech startups, logistics, e-commerce, mobility, or on-demand services.
  • Proven track record in scaling digital consumer products.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and project management skills.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tools, growth frameworks, and analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
