Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Investment Associate at Uhuru Investment Partners, located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Investment Associate will be responsible for conducting financial analyses, preparing financial models, performing due diligence on potential investments, and supporting investment decision-making processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' Experience in private equity
  • Strong Financial Modeling and Analytical Skills
  • Experience in Due Diligence and evaluating investment opportunities
  • Strong background in Finance and Investments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional qualification - CFA, MBA, ACCA etc is an added advantage

Job Description

  • Assist in the origination, execution and monitoring of investments and divestments
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment opportunities
  • Prepare and review valuation reports and financial models
  • Structure investment transactions to optimize returns and minimize risk
  • Prepare and present Investment Memoranda for review by the Investment Committee, for new investments and other investment updates
  • Support commercial due diligence on investment opportunities
  • Manage and review the work of third party due diligence providers (e.g. commercial, financial, legal and tax)
  • Review and prepare deal documentation including term sheets, share purchase agreements and shareholders agreement
  • Effectively monitor portfolio companies, identify potential problems and recommend remedial actions, assist on strategy and new initiatives
  • Prepare and review regular valuation and other periodic reports on portfolio companies
  • Manage the exit of investments
