Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Lagos State, Nigeria, for a Head of Information Technology. The individual in this role will see to providing the direction and delivery of all information technology systems supporting the Company's operations.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a companywide technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the organisation's systems, projects and business needs.
  • Ensure the technology brand of the company is elevated; this will improve talent attraction and ensure retention of top technologists. Lead all ongoing technology initiatives and create a cutting-edge technology culture.
  • Build relationships across the company, collaborate effectively, and develop a strong team to anticipate and meet the technology needs of the company.
  • Oversee the Management of the IT infrastructures and resources of the organization
  • IT Project Manager for all IT related Project being implemented in the organization
  • Implement IT Control and Policies set up by the organization
  • Maintain the Data Centre and Disaster Recovery site
  • Ensure an effective, helpful and customer friendly helpdesk, by tracking, investigating and resolving problems
  • Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which will then be used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
  • Oversee mapping of enterprise information architecture models to package application models, to determine the impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions to enterprise information architecture requirements
  • Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.
  • Participate in key project design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure application designs adhere to enterprise information architecture guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science and other related discipline
  • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in information technology
  • Master's degree is an added advantage
  • Relevant Professional Certification
  • A strong background in technology, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstration of a passion and enthusiasm for technology.
  • Proven track-record of building and leading high performing technology teams, including those with application development, architecture and infrastructure responsibilities.
  • In-depth IT industry knowledge with capabilities of working with the infrastructure, using own initiative for identifying users' needs and to work with users for any required IT service
  • Proficient knowledge of office automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, etc.)
