Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant. The ideal candidate will be analyzing data, preparing reports like balance sheets and income statements, handling payroll, assisting with audits, and providing financial advice to management. Successful accountants possess strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software. Core duties and responsibilities

  • Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze data to identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and government regulations. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in creating budgets and monitor spending against them. Use historical data to forecast future financial performance.
  • Financial management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, monitor cash flow, and handle payroll, including calculating salaries, deductions, and taxes.
  • Record keeping: Organize and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and source documents. Reconcile reports and statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Strategic advice: Provide financial advice to management based on data analysis to aid in decision-making, such as cost reduction or revenue enhancement strategies.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, Excel) and financial databases. Strong mathematical and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Professional traits: A proactive, motivated, and flexible attitude is often required. An investigative nature is helpful for identifying errors or fraud.
