The Accountant will perform treasury and finance, inventory entry and reporting, receivables and payables reconciliation, tax, and other statutory payments duties. The Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant, and the role is based at our Ilupeju Office in Lagos. However, the Accountant may be required to visit other operational sites outside Lagos, Nigeria, from time to time when business needs arise.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (E.g., ICAN/Final Stage of ICAN) is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG, Agribusiness or Commodity Trading environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Required:

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams in the organisation and external partners.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Package, especially Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Accounting Software will be an added advantage.
