Job Position: Junior IT and Software Support Associate

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Summary

Key Responsibilities

IT Support:

  • Provide day-to-day technical assistance to staff (hardware, software, and network troubleshooting).
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Support user account management, system updates, and backups.
  • Monitor and respond to IT helpdesk requests promptly.

Development Assistance:

  • Assist the software development team with testing, debugging, and documenting code.
  • Help maintain and update internal systems and web applications.
  • Support version control processes (e.g., Git) and assist with deployment tasks.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to product improvement discussions.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of hardware, networking, and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Python, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive team.

Desirable (Optional skills):

  • Experience with WordPress, Laravel, or any web development framework.
  • Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Exposure to software version control tools (Git/GitHub).
