**Role Title: Managing Director, Microfinance Bank

Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Role Overview**
We're looking for an experienced and visionary Managing Director to lead a growing Microfinance Bank. The ideal candidate will drive strategic growth, ensure operational excellence, and position the bank for long-term profitability and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall business strategy, financial performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Drive profitability, balance sheet growth, and market expansion.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

  • Oversee investment and credit portfolio management to optimize returns and minimize risk.

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, tax, and legal requirements.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and partners.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Master's degree/MBA preferred.

  • ACA, ACCA, or CFA qualification required.

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in senior management or executive leadership roles in banking or microfinance.

  • Strong background in business strategy, financial management, and investment portfolio oversight.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
