Business Director

The Business Director, Abuja/Northern Region will serve as the strategic and operational leader for Optiva Capital Partners in the region, accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening the company's presence among High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and corporate decision-makers.
This role demands a visionary leader with proven ability to build and ead high-performing teams, cultivate deep client relationships, and translate business strategy into measurable outcomes. The Business Director will act as the face of the company in the Abuja/Northern market, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets, superior client satisfaction, and adherence to corporate standards of excellence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Sales Leadership & Business Growth
Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve aggressive revenue and growth targets in Investment Immigration and International Real Estate.
Leverage an established network of HNWIs and business leaders in Abuja/Northern Nigeria to generate new business opportunities.
Monitor economic, political, and real estate trends to anticipate client needs and adapt business strategy accordingly.
Develop innovative go-to-market strategies that strengthen brand positioning in the Abuja/Northern market.
Consistently deliver on monthly, quarterly, and annual sales KPIs, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.
B. Client Excellence & Relationship Management
Serve as the senior relationship manager for key HNWI and corporate clients, ensuring personalized, world-class advisory service.
Oversee end-to-end client experience across immigration and property investment solutions, guaranteeing seamless execution and after-sales support.
Drive a minimum of 98%+ client satisfaction rating through proactive engagement, rapid issue resolution, and tailored solutions.
Represent the company as a trusted advisor at senior-level forums, industry events, and client roundtables.
Carry out client engagement activities to drive investment immigration sales and company growth.
C. People & Organizational Leadership
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing regional business development team with clear accountability
Instill a performance-driven culture aligned with the company's SOPs, ethical standards, and values.
Conduct regular talent reviews, succession planning, and capability development initiatives to strengthen the regional team.
Foster a collaborative, client-centric work culture that balances individual performance with collective achievement.
Ensure Abuja/Northern regional branch offices maintain the required look and feel with company standards.
D. Regional Strategy & Market Leadership
Lead the execution of Abuja/Northern regional business strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Establish Optiva Capital Partners as the leading brand for Investment Immigration and International Real Estate in the region.
Develop and execute strategic partnerships with embassies, chambers of commerce, real estate developers, and financial institutions.
Provide quarterly strategic reports to the Executive Director and Board on market performance, risks, and opportunities.
Act as the chief brand ambassador for the region, reinforcing Optiva's reputation for trust, integrity, and client excellence.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Ø Proven sales leadership with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding multimillion-dollar revenue targets.
Ø Ability to command executive presence and engage confidently with HNWIs, corporate boards, and senior government officials.
Ø Deep knowledge of investment immigration pathways and international property markets.
Ø Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen; able to translate vision into actionable business plans.
Ø Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and deal-closing skills.
Ø High emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and discretion when dealing with elite clients.
Ø Demonstrated success in building and scaling regional teams, with the ability to inspire loyalty and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
v Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance. Engineering or related field (MBA/ Master's or ACA preferred).
v Minimum of 15 years progressive leadership experience in sales, business development, or executive management.
v 5 years in a senior management role, ideally within investment advisory, private banking, consulting, or high-value real estate.
v Established network of HNWIs, corporate executives, and decision-makers in Abuja/Northern Nigeria (non-negotiable)
v Proven history of delivering sustained revenue growth and managing high-value cross-border transactions.
Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CIPS, Real Estate licenses) can be an added advantage
