Role Title: Managing Director, Finance Company

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Role Summary:

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to lead a Finance Company in driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership in credit management, balance sheet optimization, and regulatory compliance within Nigeria's financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company's strategic direction, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and compliance.

  • Oversee credit and lending operations — from origination to recovery — maintaining high asset quality.

  • Drive balance sheet management, liquidity planning, and funding diversification.

  • Supervise investment and treasury activities to optimize returns and manage risk.

  • Strengthen client relationships and develop innovative financial products.

  • Ensure strict adherence to CBN, NDIC, and other regulatory frameworks.

  • Promote a strong corporate governance culture and high-performing team environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Master's degree/MBA preferred.

  • ACA, ACCA, or CFA qualification required.

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in financial services, including 7 years in senior executive management.

  • Proven track record in credit administration, portfolio management, and strategic leadership.

  • Strong experience in risk management, treasury, and regulatory engagement.
