About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Senior Buyer
with a strong technical background in
mining equipment procurement
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement of mining equipment, spare parts & engineering materials
  • Manage & develop international and local supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules & service terms
  • Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids & raise purchase orders
  • Work closely with engineering & operations to understand technical specs
  • Monitor market trends & optimize inventory levels
  • Support import logistics, delivery coordination & vendor performance tracking
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and safety standards

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    (mandatory)
  • 15+ years' procurement experience
    in mining, heavy equipment, or related industries
  • Strong technical knowledge: crushers, excavators, drills, trucks, plants, pumps, LHDs, etc.
  • Excellent negotiation & vendor management skills
  • Experience with international sourcing & logistics
  • Proficiency with ERP systems & procurement software
  • Strong analytical, commercial & communication skills
