About the Role

OPay is seeking an experienced and result-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and scale sales operations across multiple states. The ideal candidate is a strong commercial leader with a proven track record in fintech sales and/or selling solar solutions, with deep experience managing large field teams (200+ staff) and driving market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage sales operations across the assigned region covering multiple states.
  • Drive customer acquisition, product adoption, and revenue growth for OPay's fintech solutions.
  • Build and execute territory sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly performance targets.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate large field sales and marketing teams (200+ staff).
  • Collaborate closely with the central leadership team on sales planning, pricing, and market penetration initiatives.
  • Track market trends, competitor intelligence and channel performance to support decision-making.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company standards, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Strengthen relationships with distributors, merchants, partners and key stakeholders within major markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field.
  • Fintech sales experience covering not less than 3 states is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience selling solar systems / renewable energy solutions is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5–7 years experience in sales, including deep regional market management.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience managing 200+ field staff (Sales, Field Promotion or Field Marketing).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools is an advantage.
