Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Personal Assistant to support a senior executive who resides in the United States and will be shuttling between America and Lagos throughout the contract period. This role requires someone who can work independently, manage shifting priorities, adapt to a time-zone difference, and confidently coordinate with household and business staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

This is not a live-in position.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Support & Coordination
  • Manage personal and household tasks assigned by the employer.
  • Coordinate with the chef, cleaner, driver, or other household staff to ensure all duties are executed correctly.
  • Keep the home and work tasks on schedule and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Scheduling & Time Zone Management
  • Build, manage, and maintain the employer's daily and weekly schedule.
  • Adjust plans proactively based on travel between the U.S. and Nigeria.
  • Work comfortably during overlapping U.S. hours when needed (including occasional late evenings).
  • Stay responsive and reachable during designated working hours.
Communication & Administrative Duties
  • Handle calls, messages, and correspondence with professionalism.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between the employer and staff, relaying instructions clearly and ensuring follow-through.
  • Run errands, manage small logistics, and handle simple administrative tasks without needing to be micromanaged.
Hybrid Work Structure
  • Work remotely when the employer is in the U.S.
  • Report to an office in Lekki Phase 1 twice a week for check-ins, task reviews, and weekly planning.
  • Provide digital updates, daily summaries, and task tracking as needed.
Operational Independence
  • Take initiative — the employer will not handhold.
  • Identify issues before they become problems and propose solutions quickly.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and good judgment at all times.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Administrative Support Staff, or Household Assistant.
  • Full availability during the entire contract period.
  • Ability to work across different time zones, including occasional late evenings due to U.S. hours.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with multiple staff.
  • Tech-savvy — able to build schedules, track tasks, manage communication tools, and stay organized.
  • Able to work independently without needing constant direction.
  • Professional, trustworthy, discreet, and solution-driven.
