Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos for a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, processing invoices, preparing financial reports, and reconciling accounts. The role involves maintaining accuracy in financial records, assisting with audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing support to the senior finance team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent time management abilities
  • Ability to analyze financial data, generate reports, and maintain accurate records
  • Problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience; entry-level candidates may also be considered based on their skills
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA (completed or in progress) are a plus
