Role Summary

The Treasury & ALM Manager oversees 
CBN-compliant ALM, liquidity management, treasury operations, cashflow forecasting, regulatory reporting
, and 
revenue/NIM assurance
. The role ensures balance sheet stability, accurate financial reporting, and strong FINCON.

Key Responsibilities

1. ALM & Liquidity Management

  • Execute ALM framework in line with 
    CBN guidelines
    .
  • Monitor liquidity ratios, interest rate risk, maturity gaps & funding mix.
  • Lead ALCO reporting, stress testing, and balance sheet optimization.

2. Treasury Operations

  • Manage daily cash positions, placements, call deposits & investments.
  • Optimize cost of funds (CoF) and treasury yields.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and investment partners.

3. Cash Flow Forecasting

  • Prepare short/medium/long-term cashflow forecasts.
  • Track variances and raise early liquidity alerts.
  • Coordinate with business, credit & collections teams for visibility of flows.

4. CBN Regulatory Reporting

  • Prepare and submit all Treasury/FINCON CBN returns:
  • CRR, Liquidity Ratio, Daily/Weekly/Monthly Regulatory Returns.
  • Ensure strict compliance with CBN formats, accuracy, and timelines.

5. Revenue Assurance & NIM Monitoring

  • Ensure correct booking of treasury income, interest and fees.
  • Track NIM performance, yield variances & revenue leakages.
  • Support month-end closing and interest income analysis.

6. FINCON & Internal Controls

  • Ensure accurate GL postings and reconciliations for treasury activities.
  • Strengthen financial controls and support audits/regulatory reviews.
  • Maintain updated Treasury, ALM & Liquidity policies/SOPs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • ICAN/ACCA/CFA or Treasury certification is an advantage.
  • 5–10 years in Treasury, ALM or FINCON within a 
    Nigerian bank/fintech
    .
  • Strong knowledge of CBN reporting, liquidity regulations & financial markets.
  • Strong financial modelling & forecasting skills.
  • Excellent Excel and MIS proficiency.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset & integrity.
