About Us

We are an AI startup building cutting-edge agentic AI systems designed to push the boundaries of autonomy, reasoning, and decision-making in local African languages. Our mission is to build intelligent agents that can interact seamlessly with people, data, and applications while driving innovation across industries.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will help us build, deploy, and manage agentic AI systems, as well as design and maintain a data collection platform accessible via both the web and the Apple App Store.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Agent Development & Management
  • Build, customize, and maintain AI agents with reasoning, planning, and multi-modal capabilities.
  • Integrate agents with external APIs, knowledge bases, and workflows.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of agentic systems.
  • Data Collection Platform
  • Architect, build, and maintain a scalable data collection platform for speech/text/video/image inputs.
  • Deploy production-ready applications on web and mobile.
  • Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Collaboration & Research
  • Work closely with AI researchers, linguists, and product teams to turn research prototypes into production systems.
  • Participate in design discussions and help shape product direction.
  • Document systems, provide technical mentorship, and contribute to team best practices.

Required Skillset

Core Engineering Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one systems language (Go, Rust, C++ or Java).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficiency with databases (SQL + NoSQL), data pipelines, and ETL workflows.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).

AI & Agents

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
  • Familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or custom multi-agent systems).
  • Knowledge of NLP, ASR, TTS, or multimodal AI is a strong plus.
  • Ability to integrate LLMs and fine-tune or orchestrate them for downstream applications.

Frontend & Mobile

  • Strong skills in web development (React, , or similar).
  • Experience building and publishing iOS apps (Swift/SwiftUI or React Native/Flutter).
  • Familiarity with App Store deployment process and maintenance.

Other Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with AI ethics, bias, and data privacy considerations.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working with speech and language technologies.
  • Prior work on crowdsourced or user-facing data collection platforms.
  • Knowledge of real-time data streaming (Kafka, WebSockets).
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures.
  • Native speaker competence in one African language.
