We are seeking a smart, motivated AV Sales Engineer Intern who is eager to learn how technology, sales, and design come together to create world-class audio-visual (AV) and collaboration solutions.

The intern will undergo hands-on training in AV systems design, client engagement, and technical sales support. The role combines engineering principles with customer interaction, preparing the intern for a career in technical sales and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying, pursuing and closing sales on new business opportunities in AV and communication solutions (conference rooms, cinema rooms, sound systems, etc.).
  • Support senior sales engineers with site surveys, client presentations, and technical and sales proposals.
  • Learn to design and configure basic AV systems using industry certified tools.
  • Assist in preparing quotations, tenders, and bill of quantities (BOQs).
  • Participate in product demonstrations, installations, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians during project execution to understand workflow and integration processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer communications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging AV technologies, brands, and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • B.Eng. / B.Tech. / HND in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering (fresh graduate or NYSC level).
  • Average graduating score of second class upper (2.1) and first class ONLY will be considered.
  • Experience: Prior exposure to AV, ICT, or electrical systems is an advantage, but not required — training will be provided.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interest in audio-visual systems, technology, and sales.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or electronic principles.
  • Good analytical and mathematical reasoning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Eagerness to learn AutoCAD or system design tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and curious about problem-solving.
  • Professional appearance and willingness to attend client meetings and site visits.
