Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist (CNC Operator) to join our production team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in operating CNC machines used in furniture manufacturing, including Beam Saw, Edge Banding, CNC Rover, and Circular Saw machines. The role requires strong technical ability, precision, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (Beam Saw, Edge Banding, CNC Rover, Circular Saw) according to job specifications and blueprints.
  • Load and secure materials onto CNC machines for processing.
  • Program CNC machines using the appropriate software to execute cutting, drilling, shaping, and milling operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to boost efficiency and product quality.
  • Monitor machine operations and identify issues or malfunctions.
  • Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tooling) to ensure high production quality.
  • Inspect finished parts to confirm alignment with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines.
  • Troubleshoot machine challenges and carry out minor repairs where necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company policies and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with designers, production supervisors, and other team members to meet production targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a furniture manufacturing company.
  • HND or equivalent; additional technical training or CNC machining certification is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in CNC machine operation and basic CNC programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production instructions.
  • Knowledge of various wood types and materials used in furniture production.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
