Position: Junior Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for learning and growing in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries

- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements

- Help with budgeting and forecasting processes

- Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies

- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and audits

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
