Senior Business Analyst with travel experience

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a solid background in the travel and hospitality industry to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in presales activities, gathering and analyzing requirements, preparing documentation for RFPs, and supporting solution discovery together with the technical team.

You will act as the key link between stakeholders, clients, and the development team — defining clear business objectives, analyzing workflows, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, efficient travel technology solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of travel-related processes such as booking flows, fare management, inventory distribution, GDS/NDC integrations, and traveler experience optimization. Our company collaborates with online travel agencies, corporate travel platforms, and hospitality technology providers worldwide to modernize digital ecosystems and enhance customer experiences.

You Have

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proven background in the travel domain (e.g., OTA, TMC, GDS, NDC, booking systems, or distribution platforms).
• Experience in presales, including requirements analysis for proposals, effort estimation support, and participation in client discovery sessions.
• Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, business process modeling, and Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) preparation.
• Proficiency in UML and BPMN modeling for functional and system design.
• Skilled in using Jira, Confluence, Miro, and diagramming tools for requirements management and visualization.
• Ability to translate complex business logic into structured functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both business and technical contexts.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Experience using AI assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in day-to-day tasks.

Would be a plus

• Experience working with GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport) or NDC-based integrations.
• Knowledge of fare management systems, loyalty programs, payment processing, or CRM solutions in the travel industry.
• Understanding of API-based solution architecture and system design principles.
• Experience in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience preparing functional demos or solution prototypes for presales presentations.

You Are Going To

• Lead the requirements discovery and analysis process, collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
• Conduct presales analysis: assess client needs, prepare documentation for proposals, and support solution architecture during RFP/RFI stages.
• Prepare and maintain detailed Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices.
• Create UML and BPMN diagrams to visualize workflows, system interactions, and dependencies.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, backlog refinement, and change management sessions.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure clear understanding and implementation of requirements.
• Validate deliverables against business objectives and provide continuous feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support UAT processes, coordinate issue tracking, and ensure alignment between business goals and final solutions.
• Monitor market and domain trends to recommend improvements and innovations in travel technology solutions.
