Job Role: Customer Service Representative (Customer Care Agent)

Location: Lagos

Reports to: Customer Service Manager / Team Lead

Our client is seeking an entry- to mid-level Customer Service Representative to join our Lagos-based team. This role focuses on providing professional, timely, and empathetic support to customers across phone, email, WhatsApp, and live chat channels while ensuring high satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, and live chat.
  • Manage and document customer interactions in CRM systems.
  • Track and update customers on orders, deliveries, and service requests.
  • Resolve complaints professionally and escalate complex issues as required.
  • Maintain high service standards for response time and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
  • Follow scripts, workflows, and quality assurance guidelines consistently.
  • Support internal teams by providing customer insights and feedback.
  • Meet daily and weekly targets for calls, chats, and tickets handled.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data privacy compliance.

Requirements

  • OND/HND/BSc in any discipline.
  • 1–2 years of customer service or client-facing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong phone etiquette and professional presentation.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Preferred: Fluency in Yoruba or Hausa.
  • Preferred: Experience with CRM systems (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Zoho Desk).
  • Preferred: Call centre experience or high-volume support background.
