Our client, a 5* hotel and part of an international hotel group in Lagos requires the services of a very skilled and experienced Continental Chef in Lagos Island.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Continental Chef located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Continental Chef will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of continental dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Daily tasks include menu planning, managing kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards, and working collaboratively with other kitchen staff. The role also involves creating innovative recipes and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional culinary craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Continental cuisine preparation, menu planning, and innovative recipe creation
  • Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene standards, and compliance with health regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for efficient kitchen operations
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and ensure effective communication
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to maintaining food quality and consistency
  • Professional culinary training or certification is highly desirable
  • Prior experience as a Continental Chef or in a similar role is a significant advantage
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced kitchen environments and deliver under time constraints
  • Proven experience working in a 5* hotel required
