HR Admin Assistant

- The HRBP partners strategically with ichrgroup's leadership, foremen, and clients to ensure effective HR management across operational sites.
- This role drives talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance while working proactively and independently within a field-focused environment.
Organizational Relationships:
- Directly Reports to: HR Director
- Indirectly Reports to: General Manager, Operations
- Supervises: Foremen, HR/Admin Officers
- Indirect Oversight: Over 100 skilled and unskilled workers across multiple sites
Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:
- Primary HR liaison supporting foremen, supervisors, and field staff.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, and workforce deployment.
- Conduct site visits for engagement, compliance, and safety oversight.
- Support disciplinary processes, performance issues, and grievance handling.
- Liaise with the HR Director and GM Operations to align HR strategy with business needs.
Key Responsibilities / Major Tasks:
- Lead recruitment for skilled and unskilled roles.
- Identify training needs and roll out development programs.
- Foster client relationships and ensure HR support aligns with project expectations.
- Implement performance appraisal systems to drive productivity.
- Monitor HR metrics and feedback to inform leadership decisions.
- Assist with HR policy development, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Project staffing readiness and timeliness.
- Compliance with labor laws, safety standards, and internal HR policies.
- HRD, Foremen and client satisfaction with HR delivery.
- Reduction in delays in HR legal and internal documentation, turnover, absenteeism, and disciplinary incidences.
- Completion of training/development initiatives and accurate HR reporting.
Requirements
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in HR Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years of HR experience, preferably in field/operational contexts (e.g., construction, oil & gas).
- CIPM or equivalent HR certification highly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and workforce management tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Smart, capable, dependable, has integrity and ability to learn fast.
Remuneration
N70,000 – N100,000 / Month.
