Company Description

Tales & Treasures Literacy Initiative is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that every child in Nigeria has access to storybooks. Through programs like the Story Bridges Outreach and Virtual Book Club, the initiative fosters creativity, storytelling, and a love of reading among children. Since its launch in May 2025, the organization has reached over 600 children and donated more than 300 books. Tales & Treasures is driven by the belief that books can empower and inspire children to dream big and achieve their potential.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Social Media Coordinator. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating and scheduling engaging social media content, managing Tales & Treasures' online presence, and implementing strategies to grow and engage the nonprofit's audience. Day-to-day tasks might involve designing posts, writing captions, responding to online interactions, and tracking engagement analytics to refine campaigns and maximize impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Social Media Content Creation and Social Media Marketing skills
  • Proficiency in Communication and Writing skills
  • Familiarity with Digital Marketing strategies and tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Passion for literacy, storytelling, or nonprofit work is a strong plus
