- The ideal candidate will provide administrative assistance, manage day-to-day operations, and handle legal duties to ensure compliance and protect the company's interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Support:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Managing Director, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
- Organize and maintain the Managing Director's calendar, ensuring efficient time management and prioritization of tasks.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries for business trips.
- Prepare presentations, meeting agendas, and take minutes during executive meetings.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Legal Duties:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Advise on legal risks and liabilities, providing recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure the company is compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements, including filings with relevant authorities.
- Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal matters, disputes, or litigation.
- Keep up to date with legal developments and ensure that the company is informed about changes in regulations or laws that could affect its operations.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Oversee office operations, including procurement of supplies, managing correspondence, and handling communication with external vendors.
- Assist in project management and follow up on deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide support in the preparation and submission of official documents to government bodies or clients as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law LLB or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate and contract law.
- Knowledge of UK corporate and contract law is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the tech or engineering sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with the tech, maritime and energy sectors in Nigeria.
