Maintenance And Repair Services
- Ensure the Church facility is maintained to appropriate standards, safe and fit for contemporary purposes through planned and unplanned maintenance responses.
- Develops and implements cleaning, maintenance and remodeling plans.
- Supervises custodians, maintenance staff or facility officers, and related contractors, but is capable of personally performing many repairs and doing preventative maintenance.
- Formulate policies and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and provide efficient use of labour and materials.
- Ensure the programmed maintenance schedule is adhered to
- Management of budget and maintaining all expenditures related to repairs and projects carried out in the church buildings and facilities.
- Planning future projects and managing minor and major infrastructural development related to overall church buildings and maintenance
- Use of a management tracking system to track all equipment and devices and know when it's due for services or maintenance.
- Develop, deploy, communicate and manage the asset management processes and data within the Church
- Ensure the asset register is kept up to date and meets the data standard requirements
- Develop and provide strategic planning initiatives for asset improvement and longevity.
- Improving efficiencies and cost effectiveness of contracted services through proper selection and management of vendors including: janitorial, landscaping, security, plumbing, communication and construction.
Availability/Readiness of Facility
- Develop and deploy systems or process that ensures the church is always fully operational at all branches in readiness for events or church activities
- Oversee the team to ensure that the facilities, church buildings and grounds is in excellent condition. Provide guidance and assistance is setting up and packing up for events and other activities.
- Ensure that the church grounds and surroundings are in good conditions and free from hazards
- Ensure cleanliness of all Harvesters church grounds and surroundings by efficiently supervising the facility officers.
Compliance
- Adherence to standards, guidelines, legislation and positions set to ensure the safety and well being of all church members, employees, guests and visitors.
- Work with appropriate government agencies to ensure that buildings are safe and meet current code requirements
- Ensure Assets are insured
- Ensure that all health and safety obligations are complied with by facilities staff and independent contractors
Leadership/Supervision
- Provide leadership to the facility team by taking responsibility for strategy, reports including coaching and mentoring of staff, so they continually improve performance and achieve their goals
- Ensure that all members of the facilities team have up to date job descriptions and that effective use is made of the performance management system including setting of goals and objectives and carrying out regular performance reviews.
- Responsible for the management, implementation and updating of equipment, furniture and fittings of the church
- Collaborate with and support the leadership and workforce as required
- Provide appropriate direction and supervision in the maintenance of the church premise covering church auditorium, children's church, toilets, car park and other facilities within the buildings and grounds of Harvesters church.
- Supervise integrated facility maintenance and repair operations for the church in a timely, accurate and cost saving manner.
