Retail Brand Manager

In this role, you’ll manage brand health, increase market share, and lead innovative campaigns, all while collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver measurable results.
Job Responsibilities
Strategy:
Develop and implement marketing strategies (considering the marketing mix) to achieve business goals and financial targets.
Lead the development, implementation, and periodic review of the brand’s long-term, medium-term, and short-term initiatives in alignment with the agreed marketing strategy.
Develop new innovative ideas based on solid market/customer insights to uncover incremental growth opportunities.
Insights:
Actively gather customer/market insights (including competitor intelligence) to develop a strong understanding of the market and customer needs, identify key gaps, and address these to improve market competitiveness.
Brand Activation:
Develop and implement effective marketing communication and brand-building initiatives (both above-the-line and below-the-line) to drive brand equity, financial performance, and market share.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of marketing objectives.
Measurement & Tracking:
Actively manage marketing performance through regular evaluation of key performance indicators (such as number of bills, average basket size, average basket value, sales revenue, brand health, market share, and other initiative-specific KPIs) and leverage this information to optimize performance.
Effectively manage assigned marketing resources to ensure a high return on investment.
Requirements
A minimum of a first degree or equivalent marketing professional qualification. A higher degree (MBA, Master's, or post-graduate qualification) would be an added advantage.
At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, managing a leading brand/portfolio at a reputable, world-class, market-oriented, and commercially-focused organization.
Strong strategic thinking capabilities, commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and results orientation.
Solid experience managing advertising, experiential, research, and media agencies on marketing projects.
Strong understanding of market research/consumer insights development and the ability to leverage these insights to build effective strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required.
