Role Summary:

To improve existing products and sales volumes through research on industry trends. Gather business intelligence relating to the Geospatial industry and its' stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead key projects with R&D to support business goals

• Research, design and evaluate, processes, and equipment used in the company to market its products and services

• Provide business insight through research on the external environment of the business to increase profitability

• Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.

• Understand customer expectations products and services and liaise with the appropriate unit to resolve.

• Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.

• Provide annual report on metrics and objectives to determine level of achievement of company goals

• Document all phases of research and development.

• Research on the new markets and product development and share information with marketing and sales to boost sales

• Research on internal operations and processes

• Generate insights and recommendations to increase company's competitive advantage

• Submit periodic reports

• Undertake any other job-related tasks assigned

Qualifications:

• A degree in Statistics, Geography, GIS or a related field is required

• 2-year experience in a similar role is desirable
