Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Management Professional to join our team at HR-ON-WHEELS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Analyze and evaluate tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and specifications to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial feasibility studies and project appraisals to inform business decisions.
  • Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, mitigating potential risks.
  • Monitor and control contract costs, including variations and change orders, to maintain project profitability.
  • Prepare and issue interim and final payment certificates to contractors, ensuring timely payments.
  • Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities to optimize resource allocation.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including cash flow forecasts, cost value reconciliations (CVR), and budget variance analysis, to provide stakeholders with valuable insights.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and contractual records to facilitate smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • A strong understanding of construction law and regulations to ensure compliance.
