Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Supervisor to join our team in Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sales representatives, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing strong relationships with key retail accounts and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership & Management: Lead a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, guidance, and performance reviews, while also recruiting and onboarding new team members.
* Sales Target Achievement: Work with the sales team to ensure the achievement of sales targets and KPIs, by setting achievable goals, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies as needed.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts, distributors, and clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the company's products are well-represented in retail channels.
* Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct market analysis to devise sales strategies and identify growth opportunities, taking into account market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
* Inventory & Stock Management: Coordinate with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and optimal stock levels across key locations.
* Promotions & Product Launches: Plan and execute promotional activities and new product launches to drive market share and brand visibility.
* Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare sales reports for senior management, analyzing performance metrics and providing forecasts for future sales and business growth.
* Training & Development: Organize training programs for sales team members on new products, sales techniques, and customer service to enhance performance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Sales Management: Proven ability to manage sales teams, set clear objectives, and drive results through motivation and leadership.
* CUSTOMER FOCUS: Skilled in customer relationship building and understanding the dynamics of retail and consumer needs.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Experienced in using sales data, market research, and consumer insights to drive strategies and decision-making.
* Communication & Negotiation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with clients and stakeholders effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Quick to identify challenges in sales processes and market conditions, with the ability to create solutions that drive improvements.
* FMCG Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the FMCG landscape, including product cycles, market segmentation, and distribution channels.
