
Payment Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
Prune Payments is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to oversee payment operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate transaction reconciliation, handle dispute resolution efficiently, and manage settlement processes seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation: Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of financial transactions across various payment channels. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports and ensure data accuracy. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance reconciliation processes and minimize financial risk.
- Dispute Management: Lead the dispute resolution process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of chargebacks and claims. Coordinate with banks, payment processors, and merchants to investigate disputes and provide resolutions. Maintain comprehensive records of dispute cases and implement strategies to reduce dispute occurrences.
- Settlement Operations: Manage and oversee the end-to-end settlement processes for all transactions. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to settlements. Optimize settlement workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of reconciliation and dispute resolution specialists. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT to enhance payment operations. Develop and implement best practices for process improvements and automation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payment reconciliation, dispute resolution, and settlement processes, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, banking operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in reconciliation tools, payment gateways, and financial systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
