About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Compliance Professional to join our team at Ascentech Services. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing support for internal finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain organized records of all tax filings and ensure accurate documentation for VAT, LIRS, WHT, and other tax requirements.
  • Assist the Taxation Manager in preparing and organizing documentation for audit reviews, ensuring timely responses to auditor requests.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities with a focus on tax-related matters.
  • Communicate effectively with the internal finance team to clarify tax and compliance requirements and procedures.
  • Conduct ERP reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial and tax records.
  • Provide support for additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned by the reporting manager.
Skills and Competencies Required
  • Strong knowledge of tax documentation and audit processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and reconciliation tasks
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (accounting software, tax software).
Estimated Salary Range

N350,000 - N450,000 per annum, depending on experience.
