Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Finance Specialist to join our finance team at SOUTH STREAMS OFFSHORE RESOURCES LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing daily accounts and finances, overseeing payroll management, budgeting and forecasting, invoice preparation, accounts payable and receivable management, asset and liability management, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, financial reporting and analysis, auditing and financial risk management, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage daily accounts and finances, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Oversee payroll management, including employee salaries, benefits, and taxes.
  • Budget and forecast financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients, managing accounts receivable and payable.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Perform audits and risk assessments to identify potential financial risks and implement mitigating strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial analysis and management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
